Thompson Elementary celebrated a Day of Science January 10th with some help from Long Middle School engineering students. Several 8th graders spent time with 5th grade students showing them the ins and outs of programming a robot. After their robots made it over the finish line, the only thing left to do was program a victory dance! There were several students who learned they had a love for programming by the end of the day.

Smith Wrestling @ Texas Invitational
The wrestling Trojans traveled to Arlington Sam Houston for a varsity boys tournament on Saturday, January 21st. Due to injury and the SAT, the Trojan varsity squad was depleted even more than normal, but the young men that did travel wrestled hard all day. Kendall Iwuagwu wrestled tough through all six of his matches on the day and ended the day with a fourth place finish. Freshman 106 pounder Anthony Machorro led the Trojans on the day with a second place finish. He won his first two matches on the day and nearly pulled out the victory in the final.
The Trojans conclude the regular season next week with a double dual at Creekview versus Highland Park and Lancaster on Thursday and the Arlington Bowie tournament on Friday and Saturday. All levels of wrestlers will participate in these final regular season events then they will start preparing for the varsity district tournament on February 9th and JV district tournament on February 14th.
I Am a Kindergarten Teacher
We would like to thank and honor all of the hardworking kindergarten teachers in CFBISD. Thank you for impacting the lives of so many children. We truly appreciate everything that you do.
Thank you from cfbkinder.com
I am a kindergarten teacher.
I am the one who greets your children with love each day at school.
I am the one who guides you and your child, step-by-step, during the most developmental stage of their life.
My impact will be forever remembered.
I make readers. I make mathematicians. I develop learners. I create doctors. I create lawyers.
I build the future.
I care so much for your child that I think about them all of the time. I will remember their faces forever. I care so much that when I get home, I’m constantly developing new ways to shape your child’s future, and their success.
I am a kindergarten teacher.
I am strong.
I am the home away from home where love runs deep. I am the guide that will start your child down the path to success. I am the giver of high achievement in your child’s life.
I am a kindergarten teacher.
And I am proud.
I also know that when your child leaves my class at the end of the year, I will make a lasting impact on their life.
I don’t ask to be appreciated in any great way. I just want to do my job. To be the best I can be. But just know how deeply I care for your child.
I am proud.
I want to help.
I want to guide your child to great things.
I am a kindergarten teacher.
