CIEE High School Summer Abroad Programs

Imagine summer soccer in Tanzania – with a mission

over 1,200 high school students like you study abroad each

summer. If you’re a U.S. citizen or permanent resident,

a current freshman, sophomore, or junior in a U.S. high

school, and have not previously accepted a Global Navigator

scholarship, you’re eligible!

Students can qualify for one of two types of scholarships.

“Merit Only” scholarships award 10% off tuition to students

with outstanding academic performance. “Merit and

Financial Need” scholarships award from 10 to 100% off

program tuition. Airfare is not included.

**Deadline for Scholarship application is December 6th, 2019!

DON’T MISS OUT!

Small-sized groups are part of what makes the CIEE

experience special. It also means our most popular programs

fill fast!

If you are not relying on a scholarship, make sure to complete

your application as soon as possible to secure a spot on your

favorite program. Applications without scholarships are

reviewed on a rolling basis.

Priority scholarship deadline: Submit on or before this

date for the best chance of getting a scholarship. We

award 80% of our scholarship funds to applicants who

meet this deadline.

Final scholarship deadline: Last chance! Applications

received on or before this date are eligible for our

remaining scholarship funds.

If you are applying for a “Merit Only” scholarship, you can pay

your deposit before the official deadline to secure a spot on

your favorite program.

GET THE CIEE ADVANTAGE

With a CIEE program, you’re completely immersed in

your host country culture – not a tourist on the sidelines.

Concepts you’ve covered in school come to life when you

apply them to real places you can experience with all five

senses. You’ll return home more independent, more

confident, and even more curious.

As one of the largest U.S. nonprofit organizations

dedicated to study abroad with 70+ years of experience,

we leave nothing to chance. From curriculum to safety, we

shape your entire experience by owning and operating

each of our 65 study centers worldwide and aligning

programs with high school learning standards in foreign

language, science, and service.

Join a highly-curated group of promising young entrepreneurs from around the globe for four intense weeks. You’ll learn from industry experts and work in a group of peer co-founders to build real products and solve business challenges in viable ways.

LaunchX isn’t a business plan competition – students start real companies. These startups are driven by using the design thinking process to discover innovative opportunities, backed by extensive market research, multiple iterations of prototypes and user testing, and gaining traction through getting real customers and partnerships.

**Apply now at https://apply.launchx.com/prog/launchx_summer/ to become a part of this amazing community. Deadline to apply is December 15th, 2019.

We look for students who display initiative, impact, resilience, and collaboration. Let your entrepreneurial spirit show through in the application.

The application materials we ask for are as unique as the LaunchX program itself: you will put together a short video, answer some questions that give us a profile of your entrepreneurial propensity as an individual and how you’d contribute to a team and our community, plus your previous experience in activities and innovating. We’re excited to get to know you through this process, and we hope you enjoy it as well!
