PSAT

PSAT TestingThe PSAT 8/9 is administered to all 8th-grade and 9th-grade students in CFBISD.

The PSAT/NMSQT is administered to 9th graders in the ACE/LEAP program (those receiving gifted and talented services) and all sophomores and juniors. For those students in their third year of high school it is used as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

The PSAT/NMSQT is administered to all 10th and 11th-grade students and for students in their third year of high school, it is used as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Both the PSAT 8/9 and PSAT/NMSQT are administered free of charge to students enrolled in the district and to homeschool/private school students who reside within the district.

Homeschool/private school students wishing to test at C-FB ISD campus should:

Contact the campus testing coordinator at the school where they are requesting testing and notify the CTC of their desire to test and submit their request online by completing the form below at least 20 days prior to testing.

Students are highly encouraged to become familiar with the test format and practice materials in advance of test day.
