Title I Status Notification

This is to inform you that Ranchview High School is a school-wide Title I, Part A Campus, and as a parent you have the right to be involved in the planning, review, and improvement of the Title I program. Title I ensures that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education. We, the Ranchview High School community, establish this commitment in order to foster the core values of honesty, integrity, respect, trust and responsibility and to support the success of Ranchview students.

As staff at Ranchview, we take responsibility for our students’ learning…

  • We believe in our students and will celebrate their efforts and successes as well as help each child reach his/her highest potential, socially and academically.
  • We will follow the school district’s instructional plan to ensure each student’s academic progress. We will honor the diversity of cultures and learning styles represented by our students.
  • We will communicate with parents frequently, through emails, phone calls or conferences.
  • We will appreciate open communication and welcome parent visits.
  • We will schedule parent/teacher conferences to inform parents of student’s progress as well as provide frequent assessment and continuous feedback.
  • We will suggest ways that will help parents to work with their child at home and provide information on how parents can contribute to the class or school.
  • We will utilize parent self-serve and update it frequently to better communicate with parents as to the progress of each student.
  • We will make tutoring available for the students and will accommodate their schedules when necessary.

As a parent of a student at Ranchview, I take responsibility for my child’s learning…

  • I will make sure my child is at school, on time each day, and with supplies.
  • I will ensure proper rest for my child so that he/she will be successful each day.
  • I will provide daily quiet time in my home for my child to study.
  • I will be the teacher’s partner and celebrate my child’s successes at school.
  • I will attend parent/teacher conferences for my child.
  • I will contribute when I can to my child’s school.
  • I will make sure to keep my contact information updated with the school through Parent Self-Serve.
  • I will stay informed about school events and will communicate with teachers and school personnel as needed.
  • I will utilize communication with the school and teachers to stay informed regarding my student’s progress.

As a student at Ranchview, I will take responsibility for my learning…

  • I will be at school every day.
  • I will make sure I have proper rest so that I can perform my best at school each day.
  • I will read daily and return my completed homework each day.
  • I believe in myself and will accept nothing less than my absolute best.
  • I will ask for help when I don’t understand.
  • I will respect myself and others, even if they are different from me.
  • I will follow school and classroom rules so that my teacher can teach and my peers can learn.
  • I will share information with my parents.

2018-2019 TITLE I STATUS NOTIFICATION

This is to inform you that Ranchview High School is a school-wide Title I, Part A Campus, and as a parent you have the right to be involved in the planning, review, and improvement of the Title I program. Title I ensures that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education.  Title I funds enable schools to employ and train state certified teachers and paraprofessionals, purchase instructional materials, update technology in the classroom, and sponsor parent and family engagement activities. Parents of students in Title I school have a right to request and receive information on the qualifications of their child’s teachers.
