Checkout Policy
The checkout period for 3rd-5th grade is two weeks.
K-2nd come every 4 days to the library within the art, music & PE rotation.
Pre-K comes weekly.
Pre-K & Kindergarten: 1 book
1st – 2nd: 2 books
3rd – 4th: 3 books
5th: 4 books
*Students may check out extra books as needed for special projects or research.
Library Schedule
The library operates on a fixed/flexible schedule.
Students may check out books during open times.
Fines
There are no overdue fines; however, students must pay for lost or damaged books.
Additional Information
Olympic Reading Challenge
Students will receive a new challenge to complete each month. They will earn a charm for each challenge. If they participate in all 8 challenges they will receive a gold medal at the awards ceremony in June. If they complete 6 – 7 challenges, they will receive a silver medal and if they complete 5 challenges, they will receive a bronze medal.
Makerspace
A Makerspace is a physical location where people work on projects, network and build. Makerspaces provide tools and materials for the students to use. Often the Makerspaces can be associated with science, engineering, technology, and math, but also can include the arts. Students will have the opportunity to experience hands-on exploration and collaboration with minimal guidance from teachers. This encourages the students to be creative and problem solvers. All students have an opportunity to participate in Makerspace at least once a month. We are always accepting donations of legos, blocks, old electronics that no longer work, egg cartons, toilet paper rolls and duct tape.
