Want to help pick the best book in Texas? Each year twenty books are selected as the Texas Bluebonnet books. Students who read five or more Bluebonnet books are eligible to vote for their favorite book in the state-wide election in January. Freeman third, fourth, and fifth graders are invited to join the Bluebonnet Book Club. Here are the club details:

· Read five current Bluebonnet books by Friday, January 24, 2020.

· Complete an online Bluebonnet Book form for each book read.

· Attend the Bluebonnet Voting Party at the end of January.

All of the 2019-2020 Bluebonnet books are on display in the Freeman library for you to check out. Most of these books are also available as eBooks through MackinVia, or you can check them out from the Irving Public Library.

After you finish a Bluebonnet book, complete the Bluebonnet Book form below by clicking on the book you read. Check with Mrs. Reimer after you submit the form to be sure you get credit for the book!

All books must be read and all forms completed by Friday, January 24, 2020 in order to vote and attend the Bluebonnet celebration.

Participation in this program is optional, and it is intended to encourage a love of independent reading!
