Dress Code

Grooming & Dress Code

Principal makes final determination on whether clothing or grooming is within the district’s Dress and Grooming Policy

Skirts	Must be no shorter than mid-thigh when fitted at the natural waistline slits in garments must be mid-thigh or longer	Overly short Administration will determine appropriateness of length
Jumpers, Dresses	Must be longer than mid-thigh when fitted at the natural waistline slits in garments must be mid-thigh or longer	Overly short Administration will determine appropriateness of length
Shirts	Hems must overlap waistband of pants, skirts, or shorts Straps must be 2 inches wide to cover undergarments Shirts longer than fingertip length should be tucked into pant or skirt	Oversized; no longer than the finger-tip length Tight-fitting, low cut or exposes midriff See-through materials Tank, Halter, Key-hole, Tube top, crop tops showing stomach Tops with spaghetti straps, one strap or straps too thin to cover undergarments no off the shoulder *no pajama tops
Shoes	Flip Flops / Slides Soled Footwear	House shoes Slippers Any shoe with steel toes, rollers, hidden compartments, i.e. “Heelys”
Head Attire	If a student is wearing a shirt or jacket with a hood or a hoodie, the hood MUST remain down.	Skull caps Head scarves (religious exceptions) Hats, caps Bandanas (any color) Objects determined inappropriate by school administration
Hair	Clean, natural-looking & neatly groomed Non-natural color	Startling and unusual hairstyles Hair, by color or design, may not create a distraction to the learning environment
