AP Guidelines

All about AP

  • Registration & Payment Window: October 14th — October 25th THIS IS MUCH EARLIER THAN USUAL!
  • STEP 1: Use a ‘join’ code & register through College Board (each class has a unique join code)
    • Students that are not in an AP Spanish class but want to take the exam should see the directions below.
  • STEP 2: Register & pay through Total Registration
    • Registration is online: https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/441140
    • Print or save a copy of the registration confirmation for your records
    • You may pay online with a credit card during registration or can to pay with cash/check in the cafeteria or main office (Online payment is preferred)
      • Checks should be made out to ‘R.L. Turner High School’ and must include a driver’s license & phone number.
  • Cost per exam: $40.00 or $20.00 if you qualify for free/reduced lunch
  • Remember, RLT has a No Refund policy
  • NEW THIS YEAR: If a student no-shows an exam for which they registered a $20 fee will be charged.

If you want to take the AP Spanish Language Exam but are not in the class you must:

  1. Join the ‘Exam Only’ section through College Board
    1. Go to collegeboard.org
    2. To sign in, students need to use their College Board accounts. This is the same login they may have used to access past AP scores and PSAT scores or to register for the SAT. If students don’t have a student account, they can click the ‘Sign Up’ link
    3. They will then click ‘Join a course or exam’ and enter the following join code: 4MY92K
    4. Finally, they will be prompted to provide registration information. Students should be sure that this information is accurate and matches their information in TEAMS (legal names, etc). For some fields, students have the option to select ‘do not wish to respond.’
  2. Register and pay through Total Registration (see above).
