In addition to individual band classes, we also have a wonderful staff of private music instructors. Each teacher is an expert on his or her individual instrument. Each teacher was selected to teach in our School District by the Fine Arts Director and the Band Directors in our School District.
The music lessons last 25 minutes and meet once a week. The cost varies depending whether your student is taking an individual lesson or a ‘Buddy’ lesson. The times for the lessons are worked out between the Private Lesson teacher and the student. Most lessons during the student’s band class or before school. Students that participate in the Private Lesson program usually progress faster.
Private instruction can greatly enhance the student’s musical growth and experience. The secret to the success of many band programs, including our program, is the large participation in the private lesson program. The Bronco Band music faculty strongly encourages all students to take advantage of the private lesson program. We have an extremely talented group of instructors who are all dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential. Private lessons can help students prepare for band class, solos, ensembles, Region Band auditions, Band Concerts as well as UIL Band Competitions. Limited scholarships are available for students that have a need, please contact the Band Staff for information.
