New to country?

All newly enrolling students from outside of the United States will be referred to the Dallas County Health Department, along with their immunization records, prior to enrolling in school.  The health department will determine if the student is coming from a country with high endemic TB rates and needs to be tested for TB.

The student may also receive any missing vaccinations and be updated on their immunizations at the clinic. You will receive a copy of your Immunization Record for school use. Please bring that copy with you for school enrollment purposes.

    • Take a copy of shot records with you to the clinic
    • It costs $10.00 per child first visit then $5.00 subsequent visits
    • A parent or guardian must accompany all minors

Enrollment Frequently Asked Questions

If I live outside of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch district, can I still enroll in a Carrollton-Farmers Branch school?

  • YES! You can apply for an out of district transfer at www.cfbstellar.com
    •  You will need to provide: your student’s report card(s) showing grades for the 2018/2019 school year; an attendance report for the 2018/2019 school year; a discipline report for the 2018/2019 school year.

If my niece/nephew/sibling/etc. is living with me in the CFBISD attendance area and the parents live elsewhere, can I enroll them in school in Carrollton-Farmers Branch?

  • YES, if you have a NOTARIZED power of attorney that gives you temporary guardianship of the student(s) you will be enrolling.
    • We have a fill-in-the-blank form that you can use for this purpose.
    • You will also need to complete an online temporary guardianship affidavit located here: https://go.cfbisd.edu/students-parents/admission-enrollment/living-with-temporary-guardian/form-4-admission-hearing-for-the-temporary-guardian/

What if I do not have a lease or mortgage agreement for the residence where I live?

  • You can complete and have notarized our proof of residency affidavit and this will be your proof of residence, as it is a legal document.
    • We have a fill-in-the-blank form for you to use for this.

What if I live with another family and the lease/mortgage is in their name?

  • See above – the notarized proof of residency affidavit can be used for this.
    • We have a fill-in-the-blank form for you to use for this.

What if my student(s) were enrolled in a CFB school in a previous year, but not last year?

  • Contact the records clerk(s) on your school’s campus to have them bring your child(ren)’s information back into the system and make it current. You will not be able to complete the online registration process until this has been done.
    • If your student has been out of the district 5 years or more, you will need to provide enrollment documents again – see the list on the enrollment page.
    • If your student has been out of the district less than 5 years, you will only need to provide proofs of residence and parent photo ID, as we will still have the cumulative folder in our warehouse.
