Spanish II

Course Description:  Spanish II continues to introduce students to Spanish language and culture.  Students in this course will develop speaking, writing, and reading proficiency on topics expanded to include life outside of school and in the real world.  Students will be guided in recognizing the interrelationships of between cultures and will be able to identify cultural perspectives and practices of the Spanish speaking world.  The focus of this course is developing novice high proficiency.  This course is conducted in Spanish a significant amount of time. 

Length: 2 Semesters (Semester A/Semester B)

  • Students must have completed Semester A to begin Semester B.

Credits: 1.0 credit

Prerequisite: Spanish 1

Principal approval required before enrolling in this course

Student must be entering or in grades 10th or higher to take this course.

Students entering the 9th grade mayh reister for Spanish II if they have successfully completed Spanish I in Middle School.
