Matthew Pruitt
My name is Matthew Christopher Pruitt. I just completed my 11th year in Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. I am looking forward to serving the McKamy family and community as your Principal! I taught 5th Grade ELA/Social Studies at Donald H. Sheffield Intermediate School for 3 years and at Ted Polk Middle School for 2 years. I was an Assistant Principal for 5 years.
I was born and raised in Grambling, Louisiana. I have a wonderful mom, 3 amazing sisters, and a supportive brother. I graduated from Grambling State University (The Place Where Everybody is Somebody). I majored in Elementary Education. I completed my master’s degree at The University of North Texas, where I majored in Educational Administration.
I’m excited about this school year! We have a saying at McKamy, “Once a Trailblazer, Always A Trailblazer.” We are excited about this year! I want you to know your students are in good hands. Our theme this year is “Teaching is HEART Work” at McKamy Elementary!
