Natasha Hampton
I am proud to be a member of the Riverchase Elementary School community, and it is my great pleasure to have the rare opportunity to teach students of all ages! As a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, as a child I also lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lagos and Ibadan, Nigeria. Spending my high school years in Indianapolis, I later graduated from DePauw University of Greencastle, Indiana where I studied to become an elementary teacher. I started teaching in grades 4,2 and 5.  I later married, moved to Memphis, Tennessee and began teaching middle school students. It was a new, fun and rewarding challenge for me, and I enjoyed every minute.
Thankful for returning to The University of Memphis to pursue Library Sciences, I was quickly convinced it was the right choice for me. Later, as a mother of 3 wonderful children, I experienced the joy of reading to them and listening to them read as well.
Now my family has made our home in Texas, and after my adventure of teaching for 13  marvelous years at both Las Colinas Elementary School and Barbara Bush Middle School, I have the pleasure of joining the Riverchase community. Let’s all look forward to exploring a fantastic school year filled with endless reading!
