Class of 2020 Senior Timeline
Senior Yearbook Pictures:
Prestige Portraits will be on campus Monday, October 21st, 2019, for a one day only, last call photo shoot. This is to help capture senior photos for the yearbook. These will be simple cap and gown headshots only. Please contact Prestige Portraits directly for more elaborate Senior Portraits sessions at 972-669-9200 or online at http://prestigeportraits.com . Cap & Gown Orders:
ALL CAPS & GOWNS MUST MATCH THEREFORE IT MUST BE ORDERED FROM BALFOUR AND CANNOT BE USED FROM A PREVIOUS YEAR OR ANOTHER COMPANY. ALL SENIORS MUST ORDER A CAP & GOWN IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY. Balfour will be on campus Wednesday, December 4th to meet with all Seniors during Pack Time. Seniors should bring home a packet of information that will need to be returned shortly after that for pre-orders, or you can order online. Additional items such as memento books, senior keys, invitations, etc., can also be ordered through Balfour at an additional cost to you. Senior Honors Breakfast:
Senior Honors Breakfast will be on Friday, May 1st, 2020 in the Ranchview auditorium. This breakfast honors all of the students who have earned a GPA in the top 10% of their class and full IB diploma candidates. Students in the Top 10% and their parents will receive an invite to attend this special event. Breakfast will be served 8:15 – 8:45. The ceremony will begin at 9:00 am.
Senior Prom:
The Senior Prom is one of the most special evenings that students look forward to! The prom will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2020 at Irving Convention Center. Prom is usually held from 7:00-11:00pm. Tickets will be on sale during lunches for several weeks prior to the event. TICKETS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR! Dress code for the evening is tasteful formal wear.
PTSA Senior Breakfast
Ranchview PTSA will host a breakfast for the Senior Class prior to the Senior Award Ceremony. What a great way to start the morning! Seniors will enjoy a light breakfast honoring them, with festive fun and some special entertainment. Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 at approximately 7:30 a.m. at Ranchview High School. Room location TBD.
Senior Walk and Awards:
This years’ senior walk will be held on Wednesday, May 13th, 2020 @ 8:30 AM. It will be held in the auditorium at Ranchview High School. This awards ceremony is held to announce senior scholarships and honors. Students are called to the stage and presentations of scholarships and “Pride of the Pack” awards made. Also, this is the time when the senior class will announce their gift to the school. Community leaders, school district officials, seniors’ parents, former teachers, members of the community, and members of the junior class will attend as well. The dress will be Sunday attire.
Senior Fun Day:
Senior Fun Day will be May 13th, 2020 following the Senior Walk and Awards. Location, times and cost TBD.
Graduation Rehearsal and Cap & Gown Distribution:
Graduation cap & gown will be distributed during the Graduation Rehearsal in the Ranchview Gym. This required event is held during the last week of school, on Wednesday, May 27th during our finals schedule. The exact time will be determined at a later date. No cap and gown packets will be handed out prior to this date. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE! The dress will be Sunday casual. Remember the school dress code applies to this event which means no hats, torn jeans or dew rags.
Graduation Ceremony:
The graduation ceremony will be Saturday, May 30th, 2020 at 8:00 AM. The ceremony will be at University of North Texas Coliseum located at 600 Avenue D, Denton. There are NO tickets required for this event, and you may invite as many friends or family members as you would like. Students are expected to arrive 1 hour prior to the ceremony at 7:00 A.M.. Remember, the dress code rules that were given at rehearsal!!!!!
Graduation Ceremony Pictures:
Pictures this year will be offered through FLASH photography and must ordered in advance. A flyer with packages and prices will be given to seniors in May. Cost will depend upon the package ordered.
