Foundations of Personal Fitness (B)- 2nd Semester

Students analyze the components of physical fitness and the relationship between physical fitness activities and stress. Students will examine nutritional practices as related to their health and how to be a wise consumer as it relates to physical fitness equipment. The course includes a conditioning program based on an understanding of their physiological factors and changers involved in various exercises that incorporate muscular endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular or cardio respiratory endurance.

Physical Education is aligned to national and state standards and the Presidential Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

  •           The Online Foundations of Personal Fitness course B requires students to complete successfully complete all assignments in the 1st semester (A) course.
  •           All fitness logs from the semester A course must be completed and submitted to earn credit for the Semester B course.
  •           Prerequisites: Completion of Foundations of Personal Fitness -Semester A
  •           For Students Entering Grades 9th or Higher
  •           Length: 1 semester-  .5 credits
