Welcome to Riverchase Elementary!  It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal of such an amazing group of dedicated staff members, curious learners, and involved parents and community members.

I am originally from Houston, TX, where I attended the University of Houston – GO COOGS! I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.   I earned my Principal Certification from the University of Texas at Arlington.

I began my teaching career in Houston ISD.  Carrollton-Farmers Branch has been my professional home since I moved to the area in 2005.  Prior to becoming a principal, I enjoyed teaching at Freeman Elementary.  I was also an Instructional Math Coach at McWhorter, Rainwater, and McKamy elementary schools before serving as an assistant principal at Freeman and Sheffield.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends.  I like to be around positive people who love to learn, grow, laugh, and enjoy life!

Our goal at Riverchase is high achievement for EACH student.  We look forward to partnering with you to provide an educational experience that will prepare our students to become productive citizens who make meaningful contributions to our communities, our cities, and the world.

Know that we are here to serve our students and our community.  Please feel free to email me or call to schedule an appointment if you’d like to discuss any concerns or ways you can help to make our school a great place to learn.  We welcome your feedback and suggestions.

Thank you for entrusting me with your children.   This is not just a job for me; it is my purpose.   I am passionate about the success of each student.  We will do great things with your continued support.
