Perry 2.0, which is the high school off-shoot of the Perry Robotics club (and 100% former Perry students), went to Florida this July to participate in the Global Conference on Educational Robotics and international Botball competition. There were over 60 teams representing multiple countries at the conference and tournament. Perry 2.0 did very well over the 5 days of competition, surviving until the last day and making the finals of the competition, placing in the top 10. Earlier in the year, the club dominated the Oklahoma/Texas regional placing 1st, 2nd and 4th overall.

Perry Middle School Staff Thank Carrollton Fire Department for their Service
On Sep. 11, Perry Middle School staff wanted to honor first responders and reached out to their neighbors, the Carrollton Fire Department, brining them sweet treats and expressing their gratitude for the service they provide our school and community.
Perry Middle School Student Wins State Geographic Bee
DeWitt Perry 7th grade student Pranay Varada won the State Geography Bee.
He now advances to Nationals in Washington D.C.
Middle Schools Perform in UIL One Act Play Competition
On Dec. 4, all six middle schools competed in the UIL One Act Play competition. Dramatic presentations included such titles as “The Beggar’s Opera,” “Antigone Now” and “Fourteen Lines.” In addition to acting, the technical crews and stage managers worked behind the scenes to present great theater within the UIL time limits.
Individual results are as follows:
Best Actor: James Teague, Polk Middle School
Best Actress: Elizabeth Stepaniak, Field Middle School.
First Place Play: ”This is a Test,” Field Middle School
Second Place Play: ”The Book of Everything,” Polk Middle School
Third Place Play: “Alice in Wonderland,” Perry Middle School
The next round of UIL Academic Competition will begin Jan. 12 at Newman Smith High School.
