R. L. Turner High School AP U.S. History and AP Government teacher, Lori Dumerer, is one of fifty teachers in the nation who received an invitation from the Bill of Rights Institute to participate in a three day seminar on the issue of Slavery and the Constitutional Republic. Dumerer will attend the seminar Mar. 11-13 in Arlington, Virginia. The selection is made from teacher from all 50 states. The program is co-sponsored by the Liberty Fund, a private educational foundation established to promote civic discourse.
Ranchview High School artists competed in the UIL VASE Art Competition. The wolves competed at Coppell High School against students from more than 30 schools and  17 students that received Superior ratings:

Three students are moving forward to compete at the State level: Audrey Given, Brittany Given and Monisha Jeraldin are all advanced forward in their division.
R. L. Turner seniors, Robert Rosas and Chris Thompson, signed letters of intent to play football at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in the fall.
During the week of Feb. 9, the Creekview High School wrestling competed at the District 8- 5A Championships at Frisco Lonestar High School. After two days of tough competition, the Creekview Boys finished in 2nd Place taking down the two-time defending state champions Frisco Centennial in the process. Creekview qualified a record-high 10 boys for the regional championships with 2 more alternates and all 4 girls that competed qualified.

On Feb. 13, R. L. Turner High School senior, Alexandra Martinez Fresnillo,  performed with the Texas All-State Mixed Choir in San Antonio, TX. Fresnillo was one of two All-State Mixed Choir singers from CFB ISD and one of over 16,000 students who began the All-State Choir process this fall. Students who make the Texas All-State Mixed Choir represent the top 1 percent of choir students in the state.Â
