Creekview golfer Kyle Cox fired a 67 today at the District Preview tournament, which is believed to tie the all-time low round in school history.
He won the tournament by six shots, defeating a strong field that included all schools in our district.

Smith Students Earn National Merit Scholars
Congratulations to the following students that earned National Merit Scholars honors so far for 2017.
Jason Zhang has been named a National Merit Semifinalists for 2017. This is an outstanding achievement considering the difficulty of the re-designed PSAT exam. Zhang earned one of the top scores among all 16,000 semifinalists in the competition.
Also, congratulations to Chisara L. Campbell, Emily C. Clark and Julien Tagnon for earning National Merit Commended Scholars honors.
Their score were likewise impressive.
Our National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars are Eric Talamantes and Antonio Camacho.

Ranchview Band Earns First Division
The Ranchview Band performed at the Region 31 Marching Contest at Pennington Field in the blazing heat on Tuesday, October 18. They have worked extremely hard all season to put a great product on the field for competition. All three judges awarded the band 1st Division “Superior” ratings giving them a First Division Superior rating in marching!

R.L. Turner Students Place into the Region 31 Orchestra
On Saturday, October 15, nine RLT Orchestra students auditioned for placement into the Region 31 Orchestra. Of those nine students, 5 placed into the orchestra and two were given alternate folders. Perry Middle School Orchestra Students Excel at All-Region 2016
On Saturday October 15th 2016, students from the DeWitt Perry MS Orchestra competed in the audition process for the All-Region Orchestra. These students competed in a highly competitive process against other students from different school districts that make up Region 31. The rivalry is back… After four years of not playing, Newman Smith and R.L. Turner will compete on the football field at Standridge Stadium in Carrollton.

Ranchview High School – Tennis Team Captures 3rd Consecutive District Championship
Congratulations to the Ranchview Men’s and Women’s Team Tennis for capturing their 3rd consecutive Team Tennis District Championship. The team swept Lincoln 10-0 and then Carter 10-0. The team will next be in action next week against Argyle, Krum, and Frisco Lebanon in an Area round matchup.
