Middle School Hoops for Heart event partners with the American Heart Association. Hoops for Heart is a fun event where students can play basketball, learn about their hearts (and how to keep them healthy), while raising money for the American Heart Association. All 6 CFB middle schools participated in the event, raising over $130K for the American Heart Association. Over 70 schools across the metroplex, with all 6 CFB schools in the top 20 in fundraising. Polk Middle School, Blalack Middle School, and Perry Middle School were the top 3 fundraising schools in the metroplex, with Perry being the top fundraiser overall. Perry raised over $14K in the event.

The directors of English language arts and reading, invite you, your students, and staffs to join us for CFB’s third annual African American Read-In, which will be held at Barbara Bush Middle School on Tuesday, February 6, at 6:00 p.m. Please bring one of your favorite selections written by an African American author to read or perform at this event.
