RHS powerlifter, Jhorden Tennyson, took 2nd place in her weight class at the Region 6 Division 2 Powerlifting Championships. This qualifies her for the State Powerlifting meet, where she will compete on Mar. 15. When Ranchview High School Powerlifter Jhorden Tennyson first joined the powerlifting team, she did not know if she was going to stay. Having never lifted weights before, Jhorden was very sore after her first couple of workouts. Through the help of a friend, she was able to stick it out and qualify for the Texas State Finals.
She praises Coach Whitaker, Ranchview Head Powerlifting Coach, for helping her grow as a lifter. Though his support Jhorden was able to achieve success.
