Barbara Bush Middle School Celebrates Veteran’s Day

Last night, several Barbara  Bush Middle School students participated in a “Salute to our Veterans” program.  There were student speakers who spoke about the courage and sacrifice of soldiers and their families.  The choir and orchestra led the singing of the national anthem and performed the theme for all five branches of military.  There was Wall of Honor to showcase family and friends of BBMS teachers who have served in the military, and there were letters that students had written to thank family members for their protection.  Approximately eight veterans were publicly recognized, including the following staff members at our school: Mr. Michael McDaniel, Ms. Pam Devine, and Ms. Kay Fox.  This IB World School says thank you to all veterans who have served our country so long and so well.
