R. L. Turner High School basketball players Ronnie and Ronniah Akins are scoring leaders for their respective basketball teams. Ronniah, a sophomore on the girls’ team, and her brother Ronnie, a senior on the boys’ team, regularly practice together to improve their skills. The sibling duo, originally from Arkansas, have the potential to “lead Turner basketball to the play-offs,” according to Mike Ramirez, CFBISD Athletic Director.
