Students attending Exploration Academy at Perry Middle School this summer have the option to take two enrichment classes in their areas of interest. Students in Ms. Melton’s “Art Rocks” class are learning different painting methods, weaving, drawing, and more. On June 15, students in the class were learning a new method for manipulating paint; air movement and gravity. While trying to simulate the wispy tentacles on a jellyfish, students learned they could blow through a straw to direct the flow and appearance of paint. Exploration Academy classes will continue through June 29.
