Meet the Principal of Blanton Elementary

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Tricia Badillo as the new principal of Blanton Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year. Davis comes from Coppell ISD.

Badillo has been in education for the past 25 years. After graduating with her Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and Early Childhood Education from Abilene Christian University, Badillo taught in Abilene, Texas for eight years followed by two years with CFBISD at Riverchase Elementary and nine years with Coppell ISD at Mockingbird Elementary.

Badillo earned her Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington and served as an Assistant Principal with Coppell ISD at Denton Creek Elementary for four years and Lakeside Elementary for two years. She completed her Doctorate in Education with Abilene Christian University with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership and Growth Mindset.

“As a teacher, I reminded my students every day that even when something is difficult, they can be successful if they get help and give effort, and no matter what, they knew they were loved.”

Badillo understands the important role parents and a family play in the lives of our students, and welcomes the opportunity to work together.
