CFBISD Council PTA Wins Two National Awards

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Council PTA Wins Two National Awards

Congratulations are in order to the CFBISD Council PTA for winning two national awards. In a volunteer effort and without a budget, the Council PTA successfully advocated for a Tax Ratification Election. The successful campaign helped to save critical academic, athletic, and arts programs from being cut. For their efforts, the Council PTA was awarded the Outstanding Local PTA Advocacy Award by the National PTA.

The Council PTA was also awarded the 2017 Jan Harp Domene Diversity and Inclusion Award. The purpose of the award is to recognize PTAs that are dedicated to the needs of all families represented in their schools. The contest acknowledges PTAs that develop practices that are inclusive and equal for all families and that result in positive change.
