state geography bee winnerPerry 8th Grader is Texas Geography Bee Winner

For the second year in a row, Perry Middle School student, Pranay Varada, became the Texas Geography Bee winner. Next, the CFB 8th grader will head to Washington, D.C. to compete in the National Geographic Bee this May.  His second time to take the state title, Varada took 6th place in the 2016 national competition. Varada, whose favorite school subject is math, states he has no secrets concerning his wins. Geography comes naturally to the middle schooler, who also loves to compose music.
