Students will have one week (from Aug 19-23) to put in a request. While all requests will be reviewed, not all requests will be approved for change.
The following are the reasons a schedule may be changed for a student:
- You have a missing period in your schedule (for example, no class 3rd).
- You have a duplicate course (for example, English 1 in 5th and 7th)
- You failed the prerequisite (for example, in Spanish 2 but failed Spanish 1).
- You have a course that you have previously passed (for example, in Art 1 but passed Art 1).
The following are reasons a schedule request may be denied:
- The course requested is no longer offered, or not offered during the needed period.
- There is no space available in the requested period
- This course request does not coincide with the courses requested in April of the prior year.
- Â The requested course is not at the appropriate level based on review of student transcripts, teacher recommendation, and previous performance.
