Eddie Reed
Hi Everyone,
My name is Eddie Reed, and I feel grateful and blessed to be the Principal at Kathryn S. McWhorter. From the onset of my time at McWhorter I felt the presence of a culture built on strong family ties. We are a family here at McWhorter and it is evident with our students, teachers, parents, and the support of our community partners. As we begin our new school year, we are dedicated to producing critical thinkers, persistent problem solvers, and great communicators. We believe in our District’s mission of High Achievement for Each Student.
As an eighteen year veteran of public education, I have seen many changes in the way we educate children, but one thing remains consistent, when parents, students, teachers, and the community work in partnership amazing things happen for children. I look forward to working with everyone in providing the best learning experience for all of our students by understanding their unique qualities, interest, and the diverse experiences they bring to McWhorter. Our diversity is what makes us special, but building strong relationships is what makes us family.
