Rachel Langston
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve as the assistant principal of McKamy Elementary for the upcoming school year. I look forward to working with students, families, teachers and the staff at McKamy.
I have been a part of the CFB family for 13 years. For the past 5 years I have been a literacy coach, working with teachers and students across the district. Before that I taught at Las Colinas Elementary for 8 years, as both a 3rd and 4th grade classroom teacher and the PYP Coordinator. Before coming to CFB, I began my career in education as a classroom teacher in my hometown of Alexandria, Louisiana.
I was born and raised in Louisiana! I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech and recently graduated with my master’s degree from Texas Women’s University in Denton.
When I am not at school you will find me with a book by the pool, traveling, teaching kiddos at church, or playing games and hanging out with friends and family.
I want to help each member of the McKamy family make this school year the best one possible. I am passionate about helping each child reach their fullest potential! I am here for you so please feel free to reach out and let me know how I can best serve you!
