Lori Parker is starting her sixth year as principal of Furneaux Elementary. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Texas. Lori has a long history in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch area. Her 29 years in the CFBISD district include ten years as a teacher at Janie Stark Elementary and seven years as principal at Blair and Montgomery. She has lived in the area her entire life and is an R.L. Turner graduate. Lori enjoys attending and supporting her children’s activities as her son attends Newman Smith and her daughter attends Ted Polk Middle School. In fact, she served as an office aide for Ted Polk himself while a student at Vivian Field. Having such strong ties to the community allows Lori to experience frequent former student sightings, and she equally enjoys when grown students recognize her and she has the opportunity to catch up with them. Lori is proud to live, work and raise her children in the area and enjoys being an integral part of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch community.
