My name is Angela Douglas. I have an M.S. in Counseling and Development from TWU. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor. This will be my 11th year as a school counselor at Blair. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I taught for 12 years. As a school counselor at the Elementary level I offer short-term individual and small group counseling and RtI behavior interventions to support students’ social-emotional learning. I provide classroom guidance lessons every month that focus on topics such as bullying, drug/alcohol safety, body safety, and healthy coping skills. I collaborate with families/staff/administrators/community in order to improve mental health and school safety for all students. I also provide resources and referrals for students’ long-term support.
