District Hires Director to Oversee Changes in Security Operations
The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District recently hired Mario De La Rosa as the Director of Safety and Security. Before coming to CFBISD, Mr. De La Rosa spent his career in law enforcement as well as safety and security management. Â After a long and decorated career as a U.S. Federal agent, Mr. De La Rosa worked in Mission ISD and most recently served as the Director of Safety and Security for Round Rock ISD.
As a new position for the district, the focus will be on the implementation of the policies and procedures regarding safety and security at the district’s 37 campuses. In partnership with local law enforcement agencies and other emergency services, CFBISD has adopted a comprehensive approach to addressing school safety focused on prevention, intervention and response. CFBISD is proactively implementing the findings and recommendations of the safety and security assessment conducted by the True North Consulting Group.
