2nd Annual Creekview Film Festival

It’s that time again!  Last year, the Creekview Speech & Theatre Booster Club hosted the 1st Annual Creekview Film Festival, open to any full-time high school student in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch District.  It was a huge success, and one of our entrants progressed all the way to State Quarter Finals in the UIL Young Filmmakers Competition.  We are looking forward to another great turnout.

Quick Overview

  • 4 categories: Narrative, Documentary, Traditional Animation, Computer/Digital Animation
  • A Google Classroom has been set-up to house documents and forms  (the code to join is 599dv2)
  • A printable flyer is available for your hallways and classrooms
  • UIL rules apply
  • Each campus is responsible for entering their students in the actual UIL competition.  (Even if entrants in the Creekview Film Festival are not interested in pursuing the UIL Competition, our guidelines are following those set forth by UIL with regard to length, music usage, etc.)
  • Deadline to commit to participating: Monday, November 6th.  Please be advised, you can still participate after November 6th as this deadline date is flexible.
  • $10 per individual entry, for the first film.  Each student may only enter up to 4 films, one per category.  (Each add’l entry will have a $2 discount.  2=$18, 3=$24, and 4=$28)
  • Window for submitting film: December 6th through January 10th (This date is FIRM)
  • Twitter: #crkvwfilmfest2018
  • Film Festival Screening – Friday, January 12th, 2018
  • Theatre director Kolby Campbell (campbellko@cfbisd.edu) will now be the point person at Creekview for questions and submissions.

Thank you again for your continued support!  Last year was an incredible turn-out for the maiden voyage, and it is truly amazing to see the talent of our students across the district.
