The trip was their prize for winning the Harlan Institute/ConSource Virtual Supreme Court Competition last year. At the competition, one of the finals judges was current Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The students were able to attend a Constitution Day Celebration featuring a Q & A with Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and they went backstage to meet her in person.
