Now Hiring After School Aides
CFBISD is hiring Aides for our after school program called After the Bell (ATB.) This is a great opportunity to earn money while working with students in CFBISD in a fun environment. Aides will work three hours per day from 2:45 – 5:45 pm for five days per week with opportunities to work additional hours during holidays and breaks.
Our After the Bell program will meet and follow the same safety standards used by the District. Aides will wear masks and work with groups of children practicing social distancing, washing hands, and participating in activities that provide a healthy distance and discourage contact. Campuses will follow the safety practices of the school day while children attend After the Bell.
There will be a site director who is a certified teacher available to guide the activities of the ATB Aides and the students attending the program. A school nurse will be on call at all times to assist as needed.
Requirements:
High School diploma
Work three hours/day ( 2:45 – 5:45) five days a week ( Monday through Friday)
Salary – $11.25/hour for fifteen hours/week= $168.75/week

CFB Awarded Certificate of Excellence for Financial Reporting
The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to award Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE). ASBO International’s COE recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency. The school district earned the Certificate of Excellence for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended 2019.
“The COE’s mission is to promote and recognize excellence in financial reporting, specifically through a district’s CAFR,” ASBO International Executive Director David Lewis says. “The CAFR informs stakeholders about the financial and economic state of the district, making it an important communications tool for building trust and engaging with the school community.”
By participating in the COE program, school districts demonstrate their commitment to financial transparency. Applicants submit their CAFR for review by a team of financial professionals, who provide feedback to improve future documents. If the CAFR meets the requirements of the program, the document may receive the Certificate of Excellence. A district’s participation in the COE program can facilitate bond rating and continuing bond disclosure processes.

RBFCU supports CFBISD in many ways. This is the second year they sponsored our Teacher of the Year program. This year, RBFCU also sponsored our Student of the Month program in partnership with Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce. Each month, the students and their families were recognized at a lunch provided by RBFCU. Students, principals and families came together to celebrate the students and RBFCU brought lots of swag for the students and their families.

Summer Meals Program
CFBISD Retirement Parade
Parents and staff members took part in a drive by parade to celebrate the career of two Polk Middle School retirees this morning, Martha Morgan and Patrica Crowder. The parade included gifts for the retirees including flowers, cakes, balloons, and signs to celebrate their years of service to CFB!
This year’s retirement ceremony included 68 individuals who dedicated a combined 1,334 years of service over their careers teaching, molding and preparing the next generation to succeed upon graduation.
