Turner Theatre Students Head to National Competition
Thanks to their success at the Texas Thespian Festival, Turner theatre students head to National Competition. Students at R. L. Turner High School competed at the statewide event held at the Gaylord Texan Nov. 15-18. The Texas Thespians Chapter is an affiliate of the International Thespian Society, an educational theatre honor society. Their goal is to promote excellence in middle school and high school theatre departments across Texas. The Nationals will take place at the University of Nebraska in June, 2018.
The students who are advancing to Nationals are:
Dylan Cavazos and Mariah Lemus – Duet Acting
Sarah Johnson and Julia Boyd – Duet Acting
Yzael Vazquez – Costume Design
Emily Joy Lemus – Solo Musical
