Shahnaj Ahmad
My name is Shahnaj Ahmad and I am so happy to introduce myself as the new principal of Las Colinas Elementary. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school community with such great teachers, students, and families. I had the privilege of being the assistant principal of Las Colinas from 2014-2017, and I could not be more excited to return to this amazing school. The children of Las Colinas Elementary are truly exceptional, and I look forward to getting to know each one of them and being an advocate for his/her education.
My goal is to ensure that children are healthy, happy, and safe so they may learn at high levels. This has been my goal since I began my career as an educator. My educational journey in CFB began in 2006 when I started at Good Elementary as a first grade teacher. I had the opportunity of teaching 1st, 4th, and 5th grades before becoming the assistant principal of both Good and Las Colinas IB World Schools in 2014. For the last three years, I have been the principal of Good Elementary. Although Good has been my home for many years, I am thrilled to move to the west side and join the Mustang Family! I look forward to collaborating with you and building strong, positive relationships.
I believe in the power of home and school connections where families and teachers are true partners in a child’s success. Relationships built between home and school create a foundation for the lifelong learning journey that will continue well beyond elementary school. Together, through our partnership, I am confident that Las Colinas Mustangs will continue to grow into exceptional and caring individuals with unlimited potential.
