Parents can complete their PreK 2020-2021 registration process in two steps.
Step 1: Parents can complete their online enrollment forms at www.enrollcfb.com. (Select the 2020-2021 school year.)
Step 2: When staff returns from summer break in August, a school staff member will reach out to you to set up a time to finalize your registration and to see if you qualify for free PreK.
Special Note: Parents wanting to enroll their child in PreK at a school outside of their attendance zone OR enroll in tuition-based PreK, must first apply and be approved for admission at https://go.cfbisd.edu/admission-application/ before registration can be finalized. Space is very limited for PreK transfers and for the PreK tuition-based program. You can check your PreK attendance zone at www.cfbmaps.com.

In CFBISD, we offer two full day PreK options. We have free PreK for students who qualify under the state guidelines (see qualification information below) and we offer tuition-based PreK for families who don’t qualify for free through a very affordable rate.
Caring, Certified Teachers for Your Child
Taught by our caring, certified educators, students are involved in thematic units that engage learners through developmentally appropriate activities. Mathematics, science, social studies and language arts are integrated to provide students with real life opportunities to read, write, and problem solve. We also support the socio-emotional learning of students so they can build strong healthy relationships with their peers and friends.
** The Pre-Kindergarten program in CFBISD is for students that are 4 years old on or before September 1.

Blair, Blanton, Carrollton, Central, Farmers Branch, Freeman, Furneaux, Good, Kent, Landry, McKamy, McLaughlin Strickland, McWhorter, Riverchase, Rosemeade, and Stark.
Free PreK Qualifications
Students can qualify for free PreK if they meet one of the following criteria:
- Limited English proficient (TEC, §29.153(b))
- Economically disadvantaged
- Homeless (42 USC, §11302, and 42 USC, §11434(a))
- A child of an active duty member of the United States armed forces
- A child of a member of the United States armed forces who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
- A child in foster care (presently or in the past)
- A child of a recipient of the Star of Texas Award
During the enrollment process, you will work with the school to qualify for free PreK.
Pay for PreK locations & tuition
Blair, Blanton, Carrollton, Central, Farmers Branch, Freeman, Furneaux, Good, Kent, Landry, McKamy, McLaughlin Strickland, McWhorter, Riverchase, Rosemeade, and Stark.
- $100 non-refundable application fee
- $550 monthly Pay for Pre-K plan
- Hours: 7:40 AM – 2:55 PM
How to enroll:
- If your child qualifies for free PreK and you are enrolling at your attendance zone PreK school, you can begin early registration with the school starting March 31, 2020 at 6:30pm.
- If your child does not qualify for free PreK, you can apply for admission before you can move forward with enrollment. Space is limited. Applications will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to reserve a spot, a completed and approved application along with a non-refundable fee of $100 must be received by CFBISD.
- Apply online – when applying, choose Early Learning (Parents Pay for Pre-K) in the menu.
CFBISD also offers Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD). If you have questions as to whether your student may be eligible for PPCD, please contact Marie Huie at 972-968-5800.
