Code Breakers at Exploration Academy

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail

Students attending Exploration Academy at Perry Middle School this summer have the option to take two enrichment classes in their areas of interest. Students in Mr. Perez’s “Code Breakers” class are learning to code using fun games and activities such as Minecraft, Frozen, and Star Wars. Students are able to explore the world of coding through code.org and using MIT programs such as Scratch. Students start with simple algorithms to more advanced techniques. Students create fairly complex video games that can be shared with friends. While using both drag-and-drop and raw code elements, students are learning the higher concepts of programming and problem-solving.  Exploration Academy classes will continue through June 29.
