Luz Soto-Dimas principal of Central Elementary for the 2018-2019 school year

At the May 3 School Board Meeting, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District School Board approved the recommendations of several new administrators.

Laura Gutierrez principal of Rosemeade Elementary School for the 2018-2019 school year

The School Board approved the recommendation of Laura Gutierrez as principal of Rosemeade Elementary School for the 2018-2019 school year. Ms. Gutierrez is currently the assistant principal at Sheffield Elementary. Ms. Gutierrez has also served as an assistant principal at Stark Elementary. From 2008 until 2015, Laura taught at McLaughlin Strickland Elementary School. She has also served as an intern in the CFB Personnel Services Department and as an assistant principal for summer school.

The School Board approved the recommendation of Luz Soto-Dimas as principal of Central Elementary for the 2018-2019 school year. Ms. Soto-Dimas is currently the assistant principal at Davis Elementary where she has served for three years. Luz began her teaching career in CFB where she taught at Farmers Branch Elementary for twelve years.  Before teaching in CFB, Luz also served as a bilingual reading tutor and substitute teacher in Lewisville ISD.

The Board of Trustees approved the recommendation of Eddie Reed as the principal of McWhorter Elementary. Ms. Reed is currently the assistant principal at McWhorter Elementary. Previously, Ms. Reed served as an assistant principal and instructional specialist in Lewisville ISD. Ms. Reed previously taught at Freeman Elementary for six years. Eddie began her teaching career in 1998 in Houston.

In addition, the district administration accepted the request by Robert Atchison to be the principal of Thompson Elementary. Mr. Atchison is currently the principal at Central Elementary. Shashawn Campbell, currently serving as the principal at Thompson Elementary, has been named the Coordinator of Assessment for Learning for the 2018-2019 school year.
