Rosemeade Pinks Out for Texas Walks

Rosemeade Pinks Out for Texas WalksFor 2017, Rosemeade pinks out for the Texas Walks event.  In an effort to improve the health of Texans state-wide, It’s Time Texas calls for Texans to walk for 10 minutes on October 10.  Dr. Thomas Frieden, Director of the CDC states, “Physical Activity is the closest thing we have to a wonder drug.” In this effort, students and communities across the state are walking while promoting healthier lifestyles. It’s Time Texas is a nonprofit organization that is focused on improving health and wellness in Texas. They provide free programs, tools, and services to empower Texans to lead healthier lives. October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month. Keeping in step with this event, Rosemeade students and staff wore pink to raise awareness.
