Transfers

In-District Transfer Information

The District does not provide transportation to transfer students.

Transfers are considered based on available space and class size. However, other circumstances may influence the approval of a transfer request.  The application will be processed when all transfer requirements are met.

A student shall be permitted one transfer per school year – unless he or she wishes to return to their attendance zone school (“home campus”).  All of the following are required for transfer approval:

    • Offer proof of 90% attendance for the previous semester and the most recent grading period.
    • Pass all classes currently and for the last semester completed.
    • Pass all portions of his or her latest state test/assessment exam. Students from home school, private school or non-accredited school must show satisfactory achievement on district approved assessments.
    • Have a positive behavior record verified by:
      • Conduct grades on the report card
      • Teacher notes
      • Disciplinary office referrals
      • Any disciplinary infractions that resulted in a placement to the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP), or any placement at the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP) during the current and prior school years.

Transfers are approved for the entire time period in which the student is enrolled in that building and will follow the school feeder pattern.
