A Unique Career Opportunity for Students
My name is Ashley Smith, and I am the Program Director of a new dental assisting school operated by the Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS). Attached to DCDS headquarters in North Dallas, our school is unique in that it is supported by our local membership of over 1300 American Dental Association dentists.
DCDS Dental Assisting School’s main focus is to provide quality training to individuals who want to work in dentistry, but are concerned with the often exorbitant cost of training programs. Our course is 12 weeks long and tuition is $4,800.00; which includes books, supplies, scrubs, CPR certification and RDA registration with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
We work with our network of dentists to determine exactly what they need from their dental team and, with approval from the Texas Workforce Commission, tailor our curriculum to meet their needs. Our true advantage is that we have general and specialty dentist members of our society who will serve as instructors with our students rotating through their offices as externs; our students are invited to their externships, rather than having to find their own. Students at the DCDS Dental Assisting School learn to maximize skills to become valued and contributing members of the dental team.
We also invite you and your students to tour our new facilities so you can discover how DCDS Dental Assisting School prepares students to become world-class dental assistants.
More information is available on our website at www.dcdsdas.org, and I can be reached at asmith@dcds.org or 972-386-5741 x229. I look forward to talking with you soon!

We are currently in process of interviewing candidates for a new Customer Care cohort scheduled to begin Monday, October 7th. All applicants age 16+ are welcome. Classes are held in the Red Bird district of Dallas.
For those who may not be aware, the CC program is designed to train unskilled individuals as relatively competitive and above average in an already relatively competitive job market. This task is neither simple nor easy, however, our curriculum has overlapping knowledge on opportunities to learn in-depth knowledge through key areas of leadership that we see as a window of possibility.
Admission into the program provides students with a weekly stipend of $75.00, and support services (i.e. gas card/DART passes) where applicable. To have interested applicants apply please have him or her complete an application by going to https://usa.generation.org/dallas/customer-care/. We are hosting an orientation on Friday, October 4 from 9:30AM – 12:30PM at our Red Bird location and would like to confirm their attendance as soon as possible.
