Robert Atchison
My name is Robert Atchison, Principal of Thompson Elementary. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University San Marcos and a Master of Educational Administration from Texas Woman’s University.
I’m honored to have spent my entire educational career in Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD. I’ve taught at Thompson Elementary and Kent Elementary. I was the assistant principal at McLaughlin-Strickland Elementary and the principal at Central Elementary prior to becoming the principal here at Thompson this year.
I am father of two amazing kids, Ethan and Ella. Faith and family are two of my driving forces and provide me with my guiding light. I am a passion driven educator committed to inspiring others to unlock their full potential. Since I was a young kid I have been inspired by great educators and driven towards the profession.
I’m overjoyed to have the opportunity to return to Thompson Elementary as the principal to continue my life’s work with our excellent students, parents, staff, and community!
