Named in honor of Bea Salazar, the school is an alternative education school. Ms. Salazar founded the non-profit organization Bea’s Kids in June 1990. She has been recognized on the state and national levels for her volunteer services.
The Bea Salazar Learning Center is designed to offer CFBISD students an alternative setting in which to make positive changes in their behavior and ultimately return to their home campus. The program is based on the belief that students can learn to achieve goals in a manner that maintains dignity and respect for themselves and others.
