About Command – A Computer Science Immersion School
By the year 2020, there will be a one-million-person job gap in the area of computer science. To prepare our students for the high growth, high demand careers of the future, CFBISD will be introducing our first comprehensive elementary school solution for computer science.
The Command Coding Academy is a Computer Science Elementary Academy and Computer Science Immersion School launching in the 2019-2020 school year at Davis Elementary and LaVillita Elementary in CFBISD. The academy will be joining select middle schools in 2021.
Our curriculum will integrate both programming and game design, giving students a well-rounded understanding of how to utilize technology to create — transitioning them from being just players to being creators.
The Command Coding Academy will provide an outstanding creative solution for children in CFBISD. Students starting in kindergarten will be acquiring skills to prepare them for the future.
