RHS Student Qualifies for International Karate Competition
Ranchview High School student, Saisheren Senpon, now qualifies for the international karate competition in Buenos Aires. Through intense competition, Senpon has earned a spot on the United States National Karate Team. He will represent the USA in the Pan American Karate Federation Continental Championships Aug. 21-28 in Argentina. Senpon was selected from the top karate athletes in the country at the National Championships and Team Trials held in July. Phil Hampel, CEO of the USA National Karate-do Federation states that Senpon “is part of an elite group of US Athletes who will represent our nation in International competition.”
Senpon has been competing in Karate since age 3, winning his first gold medal in national competition at age 4. In international competitions, Senpon has travelled to several countries including; Canada, Croatia, and Indonesia.
