Division I Ratings, Best in Class and Outstanding Orchestra…Polk Symphony Orchestra Outshines the Competition
On May 18th, the combined efforts of the Polk Varsity Band and Varsity Orchestra performed as the Polk Symphony Orchestra at the Murchison Symphony Center for the Peak Music Festival and competition. Students received Division I ratings from all 3 judges, but even more impressively, we were named Best in Class against the other 3C Varsity orchestra who performed, and received “Outstanding Orchestra” of the day out of all 11 orchestras who performed! We were up against some really competitive programs from Arlington, Denton and Frisco, so we are really proud of the students and this amazing accomplishment!
