On Feb. 22, McCoy Elementary hosted their Cowboy Mall. Students came up with ideas for businesses – either with goods to sell or services to provide, so that parents and staff could give them feedback on their ideas by way of commerce. Adult visitors were issued play money as they entered the gymnasium and student teams competed for their business. Some students sold crafts they had made themselves, some provided beverages or dessert, and others provided services in the form of entertainment including a magic show and fortune telling. Some students were so successful, they sold out of their products. Visitors included CFB Superintendent Dr. John Chapman, and Carrollton Mayor Kevin Falconer.
